About the Role
Typical hours: 07:30 to 16:30 (Mon–Fri), 30–60 minute unpaid break. Early starts sometimes required for site handovers. Occasional overtime paid at agreed day rate.
Job description:
We’re looking for a reliable electrician to join an active commercial and light residential programme in Battersea. This is a self-employed position paid through the Construction Industry Scheme. You’ll be expected to work on first and second fix tasks, test and commission circuits, produce basic test paperwork and keep the site tidy. Immediate starts are available for properly qualified applicants.
Responsibilities
Complete first and second fix installation tasks to drawings and specifications.
Test, commission and record results for circuits and equipment.
Carry out fault diagnosis and remedial works when required.
Maintain own tools, PPE and ensure compliance with site safety rules.
Provide brief handovers and daily work records for site supervisors.
Requirements
Requirements — Essential
Recognised electrical qualification and demonstrable site experience.
Comfortable working under CIS arrangements with a valid UTR and ability to invoice.
Basic testing and fault-finding competence.
Punctual, reliable, able to follow site rules and client inductions.
Requirements — Desirable
Experience on commercial fit-outs or residential refurbishments.
Own trade tools and mobile phone.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
£230 per day (CIS).
