About the Role
Typical hours: 07:30 to 16:30 (Mon–Fri). Overtime occasionally available evenings/weekends at enhanced rate.
Job description:
We’re recruiting an Electrical Improver for a busy commercial fit-out project in Camden. This is a CIS contract role, ideal for candidates working toward full electrician status who already have some site experience. You’ll assist qualified electricians with installs, containment, wiring, and basic testing prep.
Responsibilities
Support electricians with installation tasks including containment, wiring, and basic terminations.
Keep tools and work areas organised, tidy and compliant with H&S.
Pull cables, fix trunking/tray, and carry out labouring duties as directed.
Take instruction from supervisors and record daily work activities.
Requirements
Requirements — Essential
ECS card (improver/trainee accepted).
Basic electrical knowledge and some site experience.
Ability to work under CIS with valid UTR and invoicing ability.
Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
Requirements — Desirable
Completion of Level 2/3 electrical qualification modules.
Previous experience on commercial fit-out or residential refurb projects.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
£17 per hour (CIS)
